The system is an ideal solution for protecting cooktop areas in assisted living facilities, student accommodation, and domestic properties where cooking presents a significant fire risk.
● Quick, Clean & Safe Operation
The system operates automatically in the event of a fire, removing the need for occupants to use conventional extinguishers or fire blankets. It has a typical fire knock-down time of within 5 seconds, after which the remaining discharge cools and makes the affected area safe.
● Easy Clean-Up After Activation
Following system activation, the cooking area can be cleaned down in minutes and made ready for use, unlike conventional extinguisher types such as dry powder.
● Remote Monitoring & Automatic Fuel Shut-Off
The Kitchensafe System has a dedicated interface for remote gas detectors, can be connected to a Building Management System (BMS) or Fire Alarm System, and automatically cuts off gas and electrical supplies when the system is discharged.
